Jenn & Alan's Dublin wedding was a day I really enjoyed as a photographer. A proper south-sider, Jenn was full of life and loved her cigarettes. On a very hot day last July she married her unassuming Louth man, Alan, in her alma mater, The Holy Child School Killiney. Together they had a spark, and they couldn't hide it.
After the ceremony they were congratulated by family and friends before making their way to The Marker Hotel in Dublin's Docklands. The rooftop garden offered spectacular views of the city, as guests chatted under a searing summer sun. Speeches followed the meal and later on my favourite wedding band, Delorean, had everyone dancing to the hit songs of the 80s.
All photographs displayed were taken without any direction or intrusion from myself. A wedding day without any formal photography was a joyful experience. Every image is real and every image tells a story.
Thanks Jenn and Alan for inviting me to document your wedding day. Hope you enjoy your photo essay. #alangotcuffed
